Nature Immersion
Today we're going to practice something that might feel unusual in our busy lives - the art of sitting still in nature. Instead of hiking through it or capturing it on our phones, we'll simply be present with the natural world around us.
Today's Practice: The Quiet Sit
Find a spot in nature - it doesn't need to be dramatic or exotic. A local park, your backyard, or even a quiet corner with a tree will do perfectly. Bring something comfortable to sit on, like a small blanket or cushion.Choose your spot thoughtfully. Perhaps it's under a tree, near some flowers, or somewhere you can see the sky. Settle in and make yourself comfortable.
Stay here for 30 minutes. When your mind wanders to your tasks or phone (and it will), gently guide it back to something in nature - perhaps a bird's movement or the pattern of clouds above.
This is what it feels like to be fully present in the natural world - no rushing, no documenting, just being here in this moment.
