Sometimes, the best way to connect with ourselves is through writing. When we put pen to paper, we create space for our thoughts and feelings to flow freely. Today, we’ll explore getting quiet by journaling in a way that feels kind, curious, and open.

Today's Practice: A Letter To Yourself

Find a comfortable place to write. Grab a notebook or a piece of paper, and take a moment to breathe deeply before you begin.

Imagine you’re writing a letter to yourself from a place of compassion. Start with these prompts if they feel helpful:
  • What is something I want myself to know right now?
  • What am I proud of, even if it’s small?
  • What do I need to hear today?
Let your words flow without judgment. You don’t need to write perfectly or even make sense—this is just for you. If nothing comes, that’s okay. Simply sit with the intention of offering yourself kindness, and write when you’re ready.

When you’re finished, read the letter back to yourself as if it were written by a dear friend. Notice how it feels to see yourself through compassionate eyes.
