Want to add a Course Timer?
Our minds are often busy with thoughts rushing in and out, leaving little room for stillness. But within the constant flow of thinking, there are tiny moments of quiet—spaces where peace can be found. Today, we’ll practice noticing the stillness between your thoughts.
Today's Practice: A Gentle Observation
Find a quiet, comfortable place to sit. Set a timer for 10 minutes. Close your eyes and rest your hands in your lap.Allow your thoughts to come and go naturally, without trying to control or stop them. Imagine them like clouds drifting across the sky. As you observe, begin to notice the small gaps between your thoughts—the moments where stillness appears.
Don’t grasp or force these spaces. Simply notice them as they arise. If your mind feels busy, that’s okay. Keep observing with curiosity and kindness.
When the timer goes off, take a deep breath and reflect on your experience. Did you notice any moments of stillness? Even brief pauses can remind us that peace is always present, even in the midst of a busy mind.
